Yagyu Shinkage Ryu is one of the oldest schools of Kenjutsu, It’s primary founder was Kamizumi Nobutsuna who called the school Shinkage Ryu (New Shadow School). Meifu Shinkage Ryu 明府真影流 Bo Shuriken are very robust with a strong geometric needle sharp tip and are probably the best Bo Shuriken available. Meifu Shinkage Ryu is a modern school of Shurikenjutsu founded by Chikatoshi Someya in the 1970’s. Someya was a student of Katori Shinto Ryu although the throwing style of Meifu Shinkage Ryu is different.
